Job Title: Power BI Architect

Location: Irvine, CA- onsite

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• Design BI platforms, data models, and reporting layers that fit the business needs.
• Create systems to store, process, and analyze the organization’s data. 
• Build BI solutions that support both current and future data needs. 
• Develop both logical and physical data warehouse designs, including schemas and partitions. 
• Build dimensional models using star and snowflake schema techniques. 
• Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, including CDC and data flow processes. 
• Work closely with data engineers to ensure ETL processes align with the BI architecture. 
• Define standards for KPIs, metrics, naming, and dashboard design. 
• Maintain metadata, documentation, and data lineage to ensure accuracy and proper governance. 
• Implement data security and role-based access controls within BI systems. 
• Create reporting specifications and support tools like SSRS, Business Objects, and Power BI. 
• Enable self-service analytics by providing governed datasets and semantic layers. 
• Standardize dashboards and reporting formats across business teams. 
• Improve BI performance across queries, ETL jobs, and system configurations. 
• Review BI environments (DEV, QA, PROD) and recommend improvements. 
• Guide and mentor BI developers and junior team members on best practices. 
• Provide technical support to BI and analytics teams when needed. 
• Work with business stakeholders to turn requirements into BI solutions.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment throughout the project.
