Job Title: Performance Architect Tools and Platform Governance Lead

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
• 5–8 years of overall experience in performance engineering, performance testing, or platform governance, with at least 2–3 years in an enterprise governance or architect role
• Experienced in working in a TCOE environment
• Proven experience defining and enforcing performance testing strategies, policies, and standards at an enterprise or multi portfolio level
• Experience working in large, complex IT landscapes involving multiple applications, vendors, and delivery models (Agile and Waterfall)
• Hands on background in performance engineering earlier in career, transitioning into governance, standards, and oversight roles (important for credibility, but not execution)
• Experience participating in release governance, go/no go forums, and performance risk reviews
• Exposure to production performance feedback loops and
governance
Roles & Responsibilities
Performance Governance & Architecture
• Enterprise performance strategy definition and policy formulation
• Shift left performance governance across SDLC
• Governance of performance scope, coverage models, baselines, SLAs, and benchmarks
• Performance risk identification and release gate enforcement
Tools & Platform Governance
• Tool standardization, lifecycle governance, and roadmap ownership
• License forecasting, utilization optimization, and cost governance
• Vendor coordination and escalation from a governance standpoint
• Definition of tool usage standards, access models, and integration guidelines
CI/CD & DevOps Governance
• Governance of performance integration into CI/CD pipelines
• Defining non functional quality gates for automated pipelines
• Collaboration with DevOps and platform teams on standards and compliance
Metrics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
• Definition and tracking of performance KPIs, risk indicators, and compliance metrics
• Translating performance data into executive level insights
• Using production feedback to drive governance improvements
The role must govern, standardize, and audit usage of these tools — not run tests.
