    We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Toronto, ON for an onsite full-time role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing database systems to ensure high availability, security, and performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Install, configure, and maintain database systems and servers.

    • Monitor database performance and perform tuning and optimization.

    • Ensure data integrity, security, and backup/recovery processes.

    • Manage database upgrades, patches, and migrations.

    • Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolution.

    • Collaborate with developers and system administrators to support application requirements.

    • Maintain documentation for database architecture and procedures.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Strong experience in database administration.

    • Expertise in databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.

    • Knowledge of backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery strategies.

    • Experience with database performance monitoring and tuning.

    • Familiarity with SQL scripting and database security practices.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with cloud database platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or Google Cloud SQL).

    • Knowledge of automation and monitoring tools.

    • Experience working in Agile or enterprise IT environments.
