Job Description

We are seeking an experienced API Business Systems Analyst (API BSA) to join our team in Toronto, ON for an onsite full-time role. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams by analyzing requirements and designing API-driven solutions to support system integrations and business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and document business and technical requirements for API integrations.

• Work closely with developers, architects, and product teams to define API specifications and workflows.

• Create functional specifications, process flows, and API documentation.

• Support system integration, testing, and implementation activities.

• Participate in UAT and validation of API functionality.

• Analyze existing systems and recommend API-based solutions and improvements.

• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture and security standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Business Systems Analyst working with APIs and system integrations.

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, and web services.

• Experience with API documentation tools such as Swagger or Postman.

• Familiarity with integration patterns and microservices architecture.

• Experience in requirements gathering, process analysis, and documentation.

• Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with API management platforms such as Apigee, MuleSoft, or Kong.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
