Job Description

We are seeking a skilled API Developer to join our team in Toronto, ON for an onsite full-time role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure and scalable APIs to support enterprise applications and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and web services.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, backend teams, and architects to deliver integrated solutions.

• Ensure APIs are secure, scalable, and high-performing.

• Implement API documentation, versioning, and lifecycle management.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API performance and integration.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.

• Follow best practices for API design, security, and governance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in API development and integration.

• Proficiency in Java, Node.js, Python, or similar backend technologies.

• Experience with REST, JSON, and web service protocols.

• Familiarity with API management tools such as Apigee, MuleSoft, or Kong.

• Knowledge of authentication methods such as OAuth, JWT, or API keys.

• Experience with version control systems like Git.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microservices architecture.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
