Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer (QE) to join our team in Toronto, ON for an onsite full-time role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through effective testing strategies and quality engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test strategies.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

• Identify, document, and track software defects using defect management tools.

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to understand requirements.

• Participate in test automation initiatives and improve testing efficiency.

• Ensure applications meet quality standards and performance expectations.

• Support UAT and release validation activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in software testing and quality engineering practices.

• Knowledge of manual testing methodologies and QA processes.

• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA.

• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

• Knowledge of API testing and basic SQL.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
