Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced AS/400 Developer to design, develop, and maintain applications on the IBM AS/400 (IBM i) platform. The candidate will support legacy systems, develop new features, and ensure system performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain applications on the IBM AS/400 (IBM i) platform.
Write and modify programs using RPG, RPGLE, CL, and SQL.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve application and system issues.
Support system integrations and data processing tasks.
Optimize application performance and ensure system stability.
Participate in testing, deployment, and system enhancements.
Maintain technical documentation for programs and processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong experience with AS/400 (IBM i) development.
Proficiency in RPG, RPGLE, CL programming, and DB2/400.
Experience with SQL and database management on AS/400.
Knowledge of batch processing and system integration.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with modernization or integration of legacy systems.
Familiarity with web services or API integration with AS/400.
Experience working in enterprise IT environments.
