Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer with strong handson expertise in Katalon Studio for web/mobile/API test automation. The ideal candidate should have

solid understanding of test automation frameworks, scripting, CI/CD integration, and end-to-end QA processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Katalon Studio (Web, API, Mobile).
• Build and enhance keyworddriven, datadriven test automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and QA teams to understand requirements and translate them into automation test cases.
• Perform API automation using Katalon’s builtin REST/SOAP capabilities.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Maintain test objects in Katalon Object Repository and ensure stability of locators.
• Execute test suites, analyze results, identify defects, and drive issue resolution.
• Contribute to improving automation strategy, including reducing manual effort and increasing coverage.
• Document automation processes, frameworks, and execution reports.

Technical Skills Required

• Strong experience with Katalon Studio (mandatory).
• Strong understanding of Selenium / WebDriver concepts (Katalon is built on Selenium).
• Knowledge of Groovy/Java for scripting in Katalon.
• Experience in API testing (REST/SOAP) using Katalon.
• Experience with Git / Bitbucket / GitHub for version control.
• Experience with Jenkins / Azure DevOps / GitLab CI for automation pipeline integration.
• Good understanding of HTML, CSS, XPath, CSS selectors (locator strategies).
• Familiarity with SQL queries for backend validation.
• Exposure to testing on mobile platforms (Android/iOS) using Katalon (optional).
• Experience with Agile / Scrum environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with TestNG/JUnit, even if not primary.
• Knowledge of other automation tools (Selenium, Appium, Postman) is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloudbased execution (BrowserStack, LambdaTest, Sauce Labs).
• Understanding of BDD/Cucumber (nice to have).
