Job Description
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
· Expertise in CAN J1939 communication protocol. Must be able to understand and interpret J1939 messaging.
· Basic understanding of how control system function.
· Strong understanding of ECU CAN J1939 communication diagnostic concepts and strategies.
· Proven background in embedded controls and CAN J1939 testing/validation.
· Understanding of control algorithm and calibration of engines parameters.
· Experience in coordination and collaborate with cross-functional teams, like system integration team, and software team.
· AUTOSAR application development would be an added advantage
· Experience in CAN, OBD, UDS Protocols
· Experience in handling of OEM calibration tools.
· Expertise in C Programming language
· Skilled in communication, presentation, documentation and teamwork.
Roles & Responsibilities
· Act as the owner for all ECM CAN J1939 related diagnostics, including completing required testing and conducting phase reviews.
· Tune, calibrate, validate and test all the ECM CAN J1939 messages required for a given EBU On-Highway engine program to seamlessly integrate with OEM ECU controllers/Smart Aftertreatment sensors/Telematics etc.
· Investigate ECM communication CAN J1939 issues related to customers/OEMs, test vehicles, or test cells, understand root causes, and recommend effective solutions while documenting outcomes clearly.
Generic Managerial Skills, If any
· Managing the program changes and coordinating with team
· Support team in performing root cause analysis
· Proven track record in technical problem-solving and quality decision-making.
