Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Couchbase Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize Couchbase database environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in NoSQL database administration, performance tuning, high availability, and data security. This role supports mission-critical applications and requires a proactive approach to database reliability and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Couchbase Server clusters
• Monitor database performance, capacity, and availability
• Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
• Manage data replication, clustering, and high availability setups
• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize queries and indexes
• Implement database security, access control, and encryption
• Upgrade and patch Couchbase environments
• Work with development teams on schema design and query optimization
• Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts and tools
• Document database architecture and operational procedures

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of database administration experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Couchbase Server
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc. is a plus)
• Knowledge of N1QL query language
• Experience with cluster management, replication, and failover
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
• Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning
• Understanding of backup/recovery strategies
