Role: Mendix Architect
Location: Raritan, NJ
Duration: 6 months
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Mendix Architect to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of scalable low-code solutions using the Mendix platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Mendix experience, solid architecture skills, and the ability to guide development teams while aligning solutions with business and enterprise architecture standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Design and define end-to-end Mendix application architecture
· Lead solution design using Mendix low-code platform for enterprise-grade applications
· Establish best practices, standards, and governance for Mendix development
· Guide and mentor Mendix developers and offshore/onshore teams
· Design integrations with external systems, APIs, databases, and cloud services
· Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and architects to translate requirements into technical designs
· Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and maintainability
· Oversee application lifecycle management, deployments, and upgrades
· Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and design validations
· Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
· 8+ years of overall application development experience
· 4+ years of hands-on Mendix experience
· Strong experience in Mendix application architecture and design
· Deep knowledge of:
o Mendix Studio Pro
o Domain Modeling & Microflows
o Nanoflows & Pages
o Security Model (User roles, permissions)
· Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and system integrations
· Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling
· Experience with cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, or Mendix Cloud)
· Knowledge of authentication & authorization (OAuth2, SSO, LDAP)
· Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Git, and DevOps practices
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have
· Mendix Advanced or Expert Certification
· Experience with SAP, Salesforce, or other enterprise platforms
· Exposure to microservices architecture
· Experience in regulated domains (Banking, Healthcare, Insurance)
