Job Description

Senior Network Engineer

Location: Louisville, KY (Onsite)
Duration: Long term Contract

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise network design, implementation, support, and troubleshooting
• Strong expertise as a Network Engineer with hands-on experience in: Cisco Meraki (MX, MS, MR) including dashboard administration, templates, and configuration binding, Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) FortiGate firewalls (policy-based routing, static/dynamic routing, redistribution)
• Expert-level knowledge of networking protocols and technologies:
• TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS
• SDN and SD-WAN
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices:
• Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, encryption, compliance requirements
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking hardware:
• Routers, switches, firewalls (Catalyst, Nexus, 6500 series)
• Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools:
• Wireshark, SolarWinds, enterprise alerting/monitoring platforms
• Strong technical discovery, solution design, and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support for enterprise network and connectivity environments
• Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity solutions
• Design, implement, and support secure, scalable, and highly available network architectures
• Manage and optimize Meraki MX, MS, and MR environments using Meraki Dashboard
• Implement and support FortiGate firewall configurations, routing, and security policies
• Create, maintain, and update enterprise network diagrams and technical documentation
• Design and maintain IP address space, routing, and redundancy strategies
