Job Title: Oracle PL/SQL Architect
Job Summary:
As an Oracle PL/SQL Architect, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of Oracle databases and applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and play a vital role in defining and implementing efficient PL/SQL solutions that optimize database performance and meet business requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and maintain Oracle PL/SQL code and scripting for database-related applications
- Design, build, and optimize Oracle database solutions to ensure high performance and scalability
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting
- Develop and enhance database schemas, triggers, stored procedures, and functions
- Conduct code reviews, identify and resolve database-related issues, and ensure quality standards are met
- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams
- Collaborate with data architects to ensure alignment with overall database strategy
- Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies related to Oracle PL/SQL
- Conduct periodic performance analysis and make recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure project deliverables are met within allocated timeframes
- Assist in the design and implementation of database security measures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer or Architect
- Strong knowledge of Oracle database technologies and SQL optimization techniques
- Proficiency in PL/SQL development, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages
- Experience in database performance tuning and optimization
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of database concepts and data modeling
- Familiarity with relational database management systems
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
