Job Title: SLT TVC Technician
Job Summary:
The SLT TVC Technician is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting all aspects of the television and cable systems in compliance with the SLT regulations and industry standards. This role involves ensuring the smooth operations of broadcast equipment, resolving technical issues, and providing excellent service to the customers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Install, maintain, and repair television transmitting, receiving, and cable distribution systems.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to broadcast equipment, including satellite receivers, transmitters, antennas, and cable systems.
3. Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize system performance and enhance service quality.
4. Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure uninterrupted broadcast services.
5. Conduct signal measurements and tests to ensure compliance with technical specifications and broadcast standards.
6. Respond to customer inquiries, troubleshoot reported issues, and provide technical support and assistance.
7. Document and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades performed.
8. Collaborate with other technicians and professionals to develop and implement new technologies and systems.
9. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and advancements in television and cable systems.
10. Comply with safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Certification or diploma in electronics, telecommunications, or a related field is preferred.
3. Proven experience as a TVC technician or in a similar role.
4. In-depth knowledge of television and cable systems, including satellite receivers, transmitters, antennas, and cable distribution.
5. Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing technical issues related to broadcast equipment.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
7. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
8. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
9. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
10. Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment and working at heights.
11. Flexible work schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
12. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
