Job Title: EPIC EMR System Implementation and Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual to join our team as an EPIC EMR System Implementation and Support Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the implementation, maintenance, and support of our EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. You will work closely with end-users, IT teams, and vendors to ensure the successful implementation and ongoing performance of the EMR system. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about EPIC systems, possesses excellent problem-solving skills, and has a strong commitment to delivering high-quality support to end-users.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide input on system configuration and customization.

2. Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of EPIC EMR system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.

3. Conduct system testing and participate in the resolution of any issues that arise during the implementation process.

4. Provide end-user training and support for EPIC system functionality and workflows.

5. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to EPIC EMR system performance and integration with other systems.

6. Serve as the primary point of contact for end-users, addressing and resolving their inquiries and support tickets promptly.

7. Maintain system documentation, including user guides and standard operating procedures.

8. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the security, performance, and availability of the EPIC EMR system.

9. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to EPIC EMR implementation and support.

10. Assist in the development and implementation of system improvement initiatives, such as optimizing workflows and enhancing user experience.

11. Participate in regular meetings and provide status updates to key stakeholders regarding project progress and support activities.

12. Adhere to organizational policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements related to EMR systems.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree in healthcare information systems, computer science, or a related field.

2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in implementing and supporting EPIC EMR systems.

3. EPIC certification in one or more relevant modules is highly desirable.

4. Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare terminology.

5. Proficiency in EPIC EMR system configuration, database management, and troubleshooting.

6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively explain technical concepts to individuals at various skill levels.

8. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

9. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

10. Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations, such as HIPAA and HITECH, related to the management of electronic health records.

11. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
