Job Title: Propane Delivery Driver
Job Summary:
The Propane Delivery Driver at Superior Plus Propane plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of propane to customers. This position involves driving a propane delivery truck to various locations and efficiently delivering propane gas in compliance with company standards and safety regulations. The Propane Delivery Driver will contribute to exceptional customer service by effectively communicating with customers and providing support as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Safely operate a propane delivery truck to transport and deliver propane gas to residential, commercial, and agricultural customers.
2. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition and report any issues to the supervisor immediately.
3. Load and unload propane cylinders, tanks, and other related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
4. Follow established routes and delivery schedules to meet customer demands and maximize productivity.
5. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any concerns or issues promptly.
6. Maintain accurate delivery records including logs, invoices, and customer signatures.
7. Perform routine maintenance checks on the delivery truck, including fueling, cleaning, and reporting any mechanical or safety issues.
8. Follow all safety protocols and industry regulations while handling propane to minimize the risk of accidents or incidents.
9. Coordinate with dispatch and other team members to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
10. Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay updated on propane handling procedures and safety guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid Class A or Class B commercial driver's license (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
2. Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents.
3. High school diploma or equivalent.
4. Proven experience in propane delivery or a similar role is preferred.
5. Understanding of propane safety protocols and regulations.
6. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
8. Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
9. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
10. Strong work ethic and commitment to promoting a safe and positive work environment.
