Job Title: Technician II – HVAC
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technician II – HVAC to join our team. As a Technician II, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in commercial and residential settings. Your expertise in HVAC systems will ensure the comfort and safety of our customers while complying with industry standards.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Install, repair, and maintain heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, and heat pumps.
- Assess and troubleshoot HVAC systems to identify and resolve malfunctions or breakdowns.
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems to prevent future problems and ensure optimal performance.
- Perform inspections to assess compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their HVAC needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Recommend and install energy-efficient HVAC systems to promote sustainability.
- Keep accurate records of service performed and prepare reports for management.
- Provide guidance and support to technicians of lower levels.
- Stay updated with new industry advancements and technologies in HVAC systems.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with technical training in HVAC systems.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working as an HVAC technician.
- Valid HVAC license and certification (EPA 608, NATE, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve HVAC system issues.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
