Job Title: Guidewire Developer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Guidewire Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Guidewire Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of various Guidewire applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the systems are efficiently integrated and meet business requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Guidewire platform and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and customize Guidewire applications based on business requirements
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to determine system functionalities
- Conduct system analysis and enhance existing Guidewire applications
- Design and implement Guidewire integration solutions with other systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Guidewire applications
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Participate in the full software development life cycle (SDLC) including testing and deployment
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Guidewire Developer or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of Guidewire platform and its components (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter)
- Proficient in Java development and object-oriented programming concepts
- Experience with Gosu programming language preferred
- Familiarity with various Guidewire data models and schemas
- Knowledge of insurance industry processes and practices
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying system flaws
- Proactive approach to learning new technologies and staying updated on industry trends
