Job Title: Lead Hardware Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Hardware Engineer who will be responsible for leading hardware development projects from concept to completion. As a Lead Hardware Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide junior engineers throughout the development lifecycle to ensure successful outcomes. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage and lead hardware development projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and industrial designers to optimize hardware designs
- Conduct research and feasibility studies to identify suitable technologies and solutions
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior hardware engineers
- Prototype, test, and validate hardware designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Oversee the procurement and maintenance of hardware components and equipment
- Perform design reviews and analyze results to drive continuous improvement in hardware designs
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to develop and enhance hardware solutions
- Stay updated with emerging hardware technologies and industry trends
- Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of hardware-related issues
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience as a Hardware Engineer with demonstrated expertise in leading hardware development projects
- Proficient in hardware design and analysis tools such as CAD, SPICE, or FPGA development tools
- Strong understanding of circuit design, printed circuit board (PCB) layout, and manufacturing processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve hardware-related issues
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to hardware design and development
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
