Job Title: IT Business Planning Manager

Job Summary:

The IT Business Planning Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to align business objectives with technical solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of both IT and business processes to optimize performance and drive growth. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective execution of initiatives, provide insightful analysis, and facilitate decision-making processes.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Develop comprehensive IT business plans aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

2. Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements and optimize the use of technology.

3. Conduct feasibility studies and analyze costs and benefits of proposed IT initiatives.

4. Create analytical models and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.

5. Monitor and evaluate IT project progress, identify risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.

6. Ensure appropriate resource allocation and budget management for IT initiatives.

7. Evaluate new technologies and tools for potential adoption and assess their impact on business processes.

8. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to effectively communicate IT strategies and gain support.

9. Lead the IT governance process by defining policies, establishing frameworks, and ensuring compliance.

10. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation.

11. Provide recommendations and guidance on IT investments to maximize ROI.

12. Develop and deliver presentations, reports, and documentation to effectively communicate plans and progress to stakeholders.

13. Collaborate with IT teams to support the development and implementation of IT solutions.

14. Foster a culture of collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement within the IT department.

15. Stay updated on regulatory requirements related to IT governance and ensure compliance.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

2. Extensive experience in IT/business planning, strategy, or consulting roles.

3. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

4. Solid knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.

5. Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and delivering results.

6. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to various stakeholders.

7. Strong leadership and management abilities with the capability to influence and drive change.

8. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.

9. Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.

10. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, handling multiple priorities simultaneously.

11. Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.

12. Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational dynamics.

13. Strategic thinking with the ability to anticipate trends and proactively identify opportunities.

14. Familiarity with IT governance frameworks and compliance standards.

15. Certification in IT service management (ITIL), project management (PMP), or related fields is a plus.
