Job title: Test Data Architect
Job Summary:
As a Test Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the test data strategy for software testing projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, develop test data management processes, and ensure the availability of accurate and representative test data. Your role will involve data analysis, design, migration, and optimization to ensure testing efficiency and quality.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collaborate with project teams to understand data requirements for software testing.
- Design and implement test data strategies, including data acquisition, masking, transformation, and retention.
- Develop test data management processes, taking into account data privacy and security guidelines.
- Participate in requirement analysis, data profiling, and data cataloging to ensure data quality.
- Create and execute data conversion and migration scripts as needed for testing purposes.
- Collaborate with the development team to design and implement test databases and data warehouses.
- Conduct performance testing on databases and data integration scenarios.
- Develop and maintain test data models, schemas, and data dictionaries.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues, performance bottlenecks, and data-related defects.
- Automate data provisioning and data refresh activities for test environments.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure the availability and accuracy of test data.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in test data management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain data retention policies and archival strategies.
- Participate in test data governance activities, including establishing data standards and best practices.
- Train and mentor test data engineers and testers on data management concepts and tools.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Test Data Architect or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems, data modeling, and architecture.
- Experience with test data management tools such as Informatica, Delphix, or similar.
- Proficient in SQL and scripting languages for data manipulation and migration.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and data security practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Certifications in data management or related areas are advantageous.
