Job Title: Systems Administrator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team. As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing, deploying, and maintaining the organization's computer systems, networks, and software. Your expertise will ensure the efficiency, reliability, and security of our computer infrastructure, enabling smooth operations and enhanced productivity for our employees.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, networks, and software applications.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, implementing necessary solutions.
- Ensure data backups, disaster recovery plans, and security measures are effectively established and executed.
- Collaborate with IT team members and other stakeholders to evaluate and implement new technologies or upgrades.
- Oversee user accounts, permissions, and access rights, ensuring proper user management.
- Conduct regular system audits and perform necessary maintenance tasks, such as updates and patches.
- Assist and guide employees in resolving technical problems and queries.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to enhance system efficiency and security.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of various operating systems, such as Windows Server, Linux, and Mac OS.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies, including VMware or Hyper-V.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and LDAP.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions, such as Commvault or Veeam.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation and task scheduling.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
