Job Title: Infrastructure Architect
We are seeking a talented and experienced Infrastructure Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure systems and related technologies necessary to support our organization's operations. As an Infrastructure Architect, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, understand business needs, and provide strategic guidance to ensure the security, scalability, and efficiency of our infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Develop infrastructure architecture strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
2. Design and implement highly available and cost-effective infrastructure solutions to support business operations.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and assess current systems' performance.
4. Plan and oversee the implementation, migration, and integration of infrastructure solutions.
5. Conduct thorough capacity planning and performance analysis to optimize system performance.
6. Ensure infrastructure scalability, stability, and security by implementing appropriate frameworks, monitoring, and disaster recovery solutions.
7. Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to make recommendations for improvements.
8. Collaborate with engineers, developers, and support teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.
9. Develop and maintain documentation relating to infrastructure architecture and standard operating procedures.
10. Stay up-to-date with relevant certifications and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
2. Proven experience (X years) as an Infrastructure Architect or similar role.
3. Strong expertise in designing and implementing infrastructure solutions in complex enterprise environments.
4. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services.
5. Proficiency in virtualization technologies, such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Xen.
6. In-depth knowledge of network technologies, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
7. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker).
8. Solid understanding of security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and vulnerability management.
9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
10. Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
11. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
