Job Description
A Power Engineer is responsible to support operation of power infrastructure within the
Permian Basin, and, execute projects to ensure sufficient capacity is available to support the
development program. The primary scope of responsibility is high voltage transmission and
medium voltage distribution systems upstream of individual facilities. Operations support
includes surveillance, load forecasting and opportunity identification. Project execution
includes design, procurement and working with a construction team to construct and
commission electrical infrastructure projects.
The Power Engineer will report to an Engineering Manager for day to day direction, and, work
in a cross functional asset team to puruse and deliver business results.
Work safely and identify and mitigate electrical design, construction and operational SHE
risks Generate load forecasts, identify expansion needs and efficiently execute projects in a
dynamic environment supporting a sustained development program
Power infrastructure management on small utility scale including system modeling and load
forecasting
Surveil power systems and perform annual system planning to support power contract
negotiations, major system expansions and field electrification programs. Monitor power
demand vs capacity.
