Job Description

We are seeking an experienced OSI PI Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of OSIsoft PI System (AVEVA PI) architectures for large-scale industrial and enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will define system architecture, ensure high availability and performance, and partner with OT, IT, and business teams to deliver reliable real-time data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

• Design and own end-to-end OSI PI / AVEVA PI System architecture, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Interfaces, and PI Vision
• Define standards, best practices, and reference architectures for PI deployments
• Design highly available, scalable, and secure PI environments (on-prem, cloud, or hybrid)

Implementation & Integration

• Lead installation, configuration, and upgrades of PI System components
• Integrate PI System with plant control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA) and enterprise platforms
• Enable data integration with downstream systems such as MES, ERP, historians, data lakes, and analytics platforms

Performance, Reliability & Security

• Ensure system performance, data integrity, and high availability
• Implement PI System security, access control, and governance models
• Troubleshoot complex system, interface, and data flow issues

Cloud & Modernization

• Support PI System modernization initiatives, including cloud and hybrid architectures
• Integrate PI data with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and analytics tools
• Support PI to data lake or streaming architectures for advanced analytics

Leadership & Collaboration

• Act as technical authority for PI System solutions
• Mentor engineers and developers on PI System best practices
• Collaborate with OT, IT, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders
