Role: Oracle Asset Strategy Module Lead

Location: 100% Remote (EST Time)

Long Term Contract – W2/C2C


Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Asset Strategy Module Lead to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of the Oracle Asset Strategy module within our organization. This critical role will require a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and deep knowledge of asset management practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper configuration and use of the Asset Strategy module to support long-term asset lifecycle management, capital planning, and asset optimization efforts across the enterprise.

As the Oracle Asset Strategy Module Lead, you will collaborate closely with finance, operations, and IT teams, driving initiatives to enhance asset utilization, streamline capital expenditure processes, and maximize return on investment from our asset base. You will also act as the subject matter expert (SME) for the module, ensuring that the solution meets both business and technical requirements while providing key insights into asset performance and financial outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oracle Asset Strategy Module Implementation: Lead the end-to-end implementation of the Oracle Asset Strategy module (Oracle Cloud or E-Business Suite), ensuring alignment with business objectives and asset management strategies. This includes gathering business requirements, configuring the module, conducting testing, and providing go-live support.

  • Configuration and Optimization: Manage the configuration and optimization of the Asset Strategy module to track, manage, and forecast asset performance, depreciation, and investment needs. Implement best practices for asset lifecycle management, including capital planning, asset valuation, and capital expenditure forecasting.

  • Strategic Asset Management: Develop and implement strategies for optimizing asset utilization, improving asset performance, and maximizing return on investment (ROI). Ensure that the Oracle Asset Strategy module supports the company’s broader asset management policies and goals.

  • Integration with Other Oracle Modules: Oversee the integration of the Asset Strategy module with other Oracle applications (e.g., Oracle Financials, Oracle Maintenance Management, Oracle Procurement) to ensure smooth data flow across systems and consistent reporting.

  • Business Process Design & Improvement: Work closely with stakeholders to design and improve business processes related to asset acquisition, capital budgeting, asset disposal, depreciation, and overall asset portfolio management. Provide recommendations for process improvements, automation, and cost-saving initiatives.

  • Asset Data Management & Analytics: Ensure that asset data in the system is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with financial reporting and auditing standards. Leverage analytics to provide actionable insights into asset performance, future investment needs, and capital planning.

  • Reporting and Forecasting: Develop and manage comprehensive reports and dashboards to track asset performance, financial depreciation, capital expenditures, and investment forecasts. Provide senior leadership with actionable insights to support decision-making.

  • User Training & Support: Provide training and ongoing support to end-users, ensuring they understand how to use the Asset Strategy module effectively. Resolve any issues and guide users in applying best practices for asset management within the Oracle environment.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact for all aspects of the Oracle Asset Strategy module, working closely with finance, IT, operations, and senior management to align the module with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor system performance, stay up-to-date with new Oracle Asset Strategy module features, and suggest improvements to keep the system running efficiently and effectively. Lead or participate in system upgrades and new feature rollouts.

  • Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure that the Asset Strategy module is compliant with local, national, and international accounting and regulatory standards. Assist with audits by providing accurate asset data and reports as needed.


Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees (MBA, Master’s in finance) or Oracle-related certifications (Oracle Certified Expert, Oracle Asset Management, etc.) are a plus.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Oracle Asset Management (either E-Business Suite or Oracle Cloud ERP).
    • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with the Oracle Asset Strategy module or related functionalities (e.g., Oracle Asset Lifecycle Management, Oracle Capital Planning, or Oracle Financials).
    • Proven track record of leading Oracle Asset Strategy module implementations, configurations, and optimizations in a corporate environment.
  • Skills:

    • Strong understanding of asset management best practices, capital planning, depreciation, and asset lifecycle management.
    • In-depth experience with Oracle Financials or Oracle Cloud ERP suite, particularly related to asset strategy and management.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
    • Experience with Oracle Reporting tools (e.g., Oracle BI, Oracle Analytics Cloud) is highly desirable.
    • Ability to manage complex projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Certifications (Preferred):

    • Oracle Asset Management certification or related Oracle ERP certifications.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile certification is a plus.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with multi-currency and multi-region asset management.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices for asset strategy, capital budgeting, and depreciation in both manufacturing and services sectors.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards for asset management and financial reporting (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
  • Experience in integrating Oracle with third-party asset management or financial systems.
