Job Description

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• SAP data archiving, document archiving, information lifecycle management.

• Hands-on implementation and solution design experience with Serrala archiving solutions in SAP S/4HANA landscape.

• Strong knowledge of SAP archiving objects, Archive Development Kit (ADK), Archive Information System (AIS), SAP ILM, retention rules, and data destruction controls.

• Experience integrating Serrala with SAP content repositories, OpenText, SAP Content Server, or equivalent enterprise content management platforms.

• Understanding of data volume management, database growth analysis, archiving job scheduling, dependency sequencing, and performance optimization.

• Experience defining retention policies and meeting legal, audit, SOX, privacy, and records-management requirements.

• Knowledge of S/4HANA conversion or transformation scenarios, including legacy data disposition, archived-data access, testing, reconciliation, cutover, and hypercare.

• Ability to collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Order-to-Cash, Basis, Security, Infrastructure, Data, Legal, and Compliance teams.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the onsite design, implementation, and deployment of Serrala archiving capabilities for the SAP S/4HANA transformation program.

• Develop the enterprise archiving strategy, roadmap, governance model, retention schedule, and operating procedures across ECC and S/4HANA environments.

• Conduct discovery and design workshops; identify data growth drivers, applicable archiving objects, business dependencies, retrieval requirements, and compliance constraints.

• Configure and validate archiving objects, variants, residence/retention periods, write/delete/store sequences, background jobs, indexes, and archived-data access.

• Coordinate integration with content repositories and ensure secure, reliable storage and retrieval of archived documents and business data.

• Partner with functional and technical teams to assess process impacts and preserve reporting, audit, legal-hold, and business-access requirements.

• Manage onsite/offshore delivery, dependencies, risks, issues, status reporting, stakeholder communication, and vendor coordination.

• Provide cutover and hypercare leadership; monitor archive jobs, database reduction, system performance, retrieval success, and operational compliance.

• Ensure knowledge transfer to support teams and establish sustainable monitoring, controls, and continuous-improvement practices.
