Payments QA engineer

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

  • Deep knowledge of Wire Transfer processing with hands on experience in ACI MTS, including payment/message flows, validations, and downstream impacts.
  • Strong understanding of ISO20022 messages across CBPR+, Fedwire, and CHIPS, as well as legacy SWIFT MT formats.
  • Solid grasp of Agile, SDLC, and test management methodologies.
  • Ability to develop comprehensive manual test cases that cover functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
  • Skilled at generating, conditioning, and managing compliant test data across environments.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to independently drive assignments to completion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across distributed, cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced environment and able to work within established timelines.
  • Confident in making decisions to ensure features function as intended.
  • Understanding of dependencies across wire processing, including:
  • Payment and message processing flows
  • Client products and services related to Wire Transfer
  • Wire database structures and operational interactions
  • Fedwire, CHIPS, and SWIFT practices, formats, and reconciliation
  • gpi processing
  • Experience supporting and testing middleware interfaces, including web services, daemons, and message-based integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as SOAP UI, Postman, Jira, Confluence, Octane, and MTS utilities.
  • Linux and shell scripting familiarity.
