Role: Senior QA Engineer – System Testing (Cloud & Video Conferencing)
Job description:
Project Starline is working on the next wave of machine learning (AI) driven telecommunication devices, that enable co-presence through 3D displays, face tracking, machine learning, and multi-capture camera with cloud-based rendering and teleportation capabilities that transport users across the globe.
We are looking for those experienced with system testing in the unified communications and/or video conferencing space.
Responsibilities:
· Lead and organize software testing team, ensuring all release deliverables are met on time.
· Organize and execute on test strategy and plans provided by program management.
· Manage transformation of PRD’s and new features into test cases to maximize test coverage.
· Represent QA team at release meetings with critical data that impacts gating decisions.
· Improve existing software testing processes and methodologies.
· Drive critical bugs to closure, to quickly unblock releases.
Qualifications:
· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Minimum 7 years’ experience in test planning and, test strategy development.
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in Test Automation in at least one programming language.
· Adept at troubleshooting complex systems integration issues through log analysis.
· Defect Triage experience, create workflows and standards for managing and routing defects.
· Proficient with Linux CLI and/or mobile architecture with hands-on command-line experience.
· Proficient with defect tracking tools, defect management and release triage methodologies.
· Can do attitude, teamwork, and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
Must Have:
· Experience System Testing with Cloud/SaaS or Video Conferencing.
· Proficiency Linux CLI.
· Defect root cause via log analysis processes and reproduction, writing complete bug reports.
· Bug triage and verification.
Nice to Have:
· Hands on experience with Python and/or Bash scripting is a plus.
· Cloud experience - leading test engineering efforts from planning, execution, and delivery for cloud-based applications.
· Experience working with test automation teams to identify and prioritize test cases which can and should be automated.
· Ability to organize and classify test execution strategies for efficiency.
