Title: Sr. Project Manager

Remote

Contract  

 

Team: EPMO in support of Data Analytics/Data Management/Business Team implementing new Tool

Size of implementation team: 10-12 ppl on IT side (architect/data engineers/data governance) 12-15 on analytics side – understand business rules with data; working in the tool and creating rules on their own. Business side 12-15 from various teams and units more involved in requirements and testing.

 

Must Haves:

-          Experience with large vendor implementation

-          Experience with communication of stakeholders at various levels in the organization, with both IT and the business

-          Agile/Safe experience

 

Qualifications/Certs: (highly preferred – FTE’s are required to obtain within 1 year of employment so I’m making this a Must Have for our contract candidates)

 

-          CAPM/PMP/ACP or equivalent

-          Scrum, SAFe or equivalent

 

Education: (bachelor’s degree)

-          Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Education, Project Management, Technical, Business/Administration, Management, Information Technology, or a related field

-          7+ years of relevant PM experience with degree

-          10+ years of relevant PM experience without degree

 

 

Pluses/Preferred: (candidates with this will be prioritized)

 

-          Arcadia knowledge (not required)/ Data analytics (preferred not required)

-          Healthcare/health plan experience

-          Job Experience – Supervisory: 2+ years

-          Job Experience – Healthcare: 3+ years

-          Job Experience - Managed Care: 3+ years

-          Job Experience - Medical Clinical Environment: 3+ years

-          Job Experience – Clinical: 3+ years

-          Job Experience – IT: 3+ years

 

  

Job Duties:

 

Coaches and mentors junior staff.

Manages complex scope discussions when requirements need to be prioritized and impact on project schedule and quality assessed.

Identifies process improvement opportunities and takes the lead on implementation.

Works with project team to identify cross-functional or cross-project dependencies for testing and communicates potential areas of dependency, integration, constraint and/or failure for in-scope testing and systems.

 

 

Qualifications of an Enterprise Project Manager III:

Healthcare experience preferred; experience with care delivery (ambulatory, hospital, post-acute), health plan and/or technical project management a plus.

Proven excellence in project management, leading and facilitating large and extra-large sized projects or workstreams of larger projects.

Addresses emerging issues quickly to surface root causes, corrective action/options, and impact assessments for projects.  Drive decisions for simple and complex matters.

Consistently applies deep and broad experience to influence execution outcomes.

Displays an attitude of stability and confidence even in times of uncertainty.

Commands respect from all levels within the organization.

Skillfully and consistently identifies and applies project management skills and advanced techniques (critical path, earned value, crashing, dependency mapping, scenario modeling) to obtain consistently positive results.

Exceptional written and oral communication skills to influence change and collaborate across different levels of the organization.

Comfortable presenting to large groups. 

Demonstrated deep experience in managing stakeholders based on analysis.

Proven excellence in project management, leading and facilitating medium and large projects or workstream(s) of large projects.

Highly independent requiring minimal guidance.

Demonstrated aptitude for coaching and mentoring staff.

Demonstrates problem-solving abilities to address complex challenges and facilitate informed decisions.

Provides clarity, escalation, insight, and issue resolution when project teams are stuck or confused.

Skillful at applying analytical techniques (e.g., critical path) to all elements of project execution.

Demonstrates ability to recognize when a process is broken/needs improvement, make recommendation or involve others to implement.

Demonstrates advanced understanding of agile (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) processes and tools, and how to create and manage project plans working with agile and waterfall teams.

Demonstrates advanced understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), processes, and impacts to projects.

Understands basic technology framework and IT architecture components.

Uses data and information to ensure project variances, risks, and issues are appropriately managed.

Proven ability to mentor, coach, and guide team members displaying positive results.

Demonstrates a good understanding of business interdependencies.

Identifies and manages dependencies across workstreams and other projects.

Continually and proactively seeks opportunities to improve processes, make recommendations and/or involve others to implement.

Examines unexpected results with critical thinking to determine the root cause of outcomes. 

Ensures the availability and reliability of the data.

Displays strong business acumen, such as assessing when industry-related details impact project work or outcomes, challenges things that are not working, and offers alternatives to improve outcomes.

Anticipates and manages changes in strategy, tactics, and/or organization that can have impacts on multiple large, complex projects. 

Demonstrates experience in vendor management that enables recommendation of the best approach, the ideal solution candidates, and the expected processes.

Demonstrates a good understanding of most of the organization’s core systems, how systems integrate, and technical interdependence.

Proficient in ServiceNow SPM and Jira, if applicable.
