Job Description
Job Title: Accessibility Testing Specialist
The applicant must have 4-5 years of relevant experience in Accessibility Testing, specifically adhering to WCAG 2.0/2.1 guidelines. Key areas of expertise include:
Accessibility Testing Skills:
- Extensive experience testing websites and mobile apps for compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
- Familiarity with assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver (OSX & iOS), Android Talkback.
- Proficiency in browser developer tools and debug logs.
- Knowledge of Deque tools like aXe, Assure/Comply, or Worldspace is preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript with an ability to collaborate with developers on accessibility issues.
- Ability to test digital content across desktop browsers and iOS & Android devices.
- Understanding of mobile app accessibility testing and the limitations of various platforms.
Quality Assurance & Documentation:
- Skilled in executing use cases, logging bugs, tracking progress, and verifying resolutions.
- Ability to create test strategies and test plans, write detailed bug reports, and document findings clearly.
Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and a methodical approach to testing.
- Excellent time management and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve accessibility issues.
