Role: SDET (GIS)
GIS Development Knowledge is a must – this is an SDET role.
2+ years of experience on the development of geo processing tools and GIS web services (ie, creating GIS applications using the ArcGIS API for JavaScript and ArcGIS Experience Builder).
2+ years expertise in the development of both desktop and web applications using the GIS Pro suite or a similar GIS software suite.
2+ years of experience testing and quality assurance for GIS applications, including the proper integration of GIS processes into application development and data validation, and experience with Oracle spatial database and SQL development (19c)
Must have hands-on testing experience in creating and editing data with ArcGIS Pro for multiple different scenarios, then running test plans and validating the results.
Job Description:
The GIS team is seeking a senior GIS SDET. The candidate should be highly motivated, and detail oriented with successful and demonstrable experience in implementing, testing and supporting enterprise applications and solutions in a structured environment. In addition, the candidate should have strong spatial conceptual, analytical and reasoning abilities, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
Daily responsibilities will include:
Testing, implementing and documenting new spatial solutions
Creating GIS applications using the ArcGIS API
Carry out data analysis, manipulation and visualization as part of quality assurance
Supporting and enhancing existing GIS applications to support businesses processes
Adhering to NS established standards, policies and development guidelines
Required Experience and Skills:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field
Knowledgeable on relational databases (SQL Server and Oracle) and data loading for testing purposes.
Proficient in Python scripting, SQL, Esri Model Builder, ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.x
Coordinating GIS projects and delivering geospatial support..
developing ArcGIS Pro Addin, Enterprise and oracle spatial
General understanding of software development principles
Experience in developing custom widgets using ArcGIS Experience Builder
Familiar with Branch Versioning and Workflow Manager Server
Experience in developing ArcGIS Pro Addin
Familiar with ArcGIS Enterprise and oracle spatial
Additionally, Skills a Plus:
ArcPy
C# and .NET framework
