Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with expertise in Workday Finance implementations to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex, large-scale Workday Finance projects, ensuring successful implementation, and driving continuous improvements in financial processes. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of Workday Finance implementation projects, including planning, execution, and delivery, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Management:
    Lead and manage the end-to-end implementation of Workday Finance solutions, including scoping, planning, resource allocation, and execution. Define project objectives, timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful completion.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with business leaders, technical teams, and external vendors to align on project goals and deliverables.
  • Risk & Issue Management:
    Proactively identify potential risks and issues related to project scope, timelines, resources, and quality. Develop and implement mitigation plans to ensure that the project remains on track and within scope.
  • Budget Management:
    Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within approved financial resources. Track expenses, update forecasts, and provide status reports to leadership.
  • Resource Coordination:
    Work with internal and external teams to allocate and manage resources effectively. Ensure that all required resources are available, trained, and fully engaged in the project to meet deadlines.
  • Quality Assurance & Testing:
    Oversee the testing phase to ensure the Workday Finance solution meets all functional, technical, and business requirements. Ensure successful user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-implementation support.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Provide strategic guidance to enhance Workday Finance processes and systems, offering best practices, improvements, and automation opportunities to stakeholders.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk management logs, and post-implementation reviews. Ensure all documentation is aligned with company standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or related field. A Project Management certification (PMP, Scrum, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically in Workday Finance implementations.
    • Strong understanding of Workday Financial Management, including modules such as Accounting, Procurement, Billing, and Financial Reporting.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
    • Experience with both waterfall and agile project management methodologies.
    • In-depth knowledge of financial processes and workflows.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
    • Strong proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana).
