Job Title: IT Lab Support Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled IT Lab Support Engineer to join our team and provide technical support and assistance to our laboratory operations. The IT Lab Support Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting computer systems, software, and network infrastructure in the lab environment. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software in the lab
2. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to lab equipment and systems
3. Monitor and maintain network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance
4. Collaborate with other IT and lab staff to support research projects and experiments
5. Provide training and support to lab staff on IT systems and procedures
6. Document and track all support requests and resolutions
7. Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in IT support
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
2. Proven experience in IT support, preferably in a lab or research environment
3. Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) a plus
