Role: Technical Designer/Consultant - Oracle Utility Customer Cloud Services (CCS)

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Designer for Oracle Utility Customer Cloud Services (CCS) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical design, development, and implementation of Oracle CCS solutions for our utility clients. You will work closely with functional consultants and developers to translate business requirements into technical designs and ensure the successful delivery of projects. This role requires a strong understanding of Oracle CCS architecture and development, as well as experience in the utilities industry.
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications and design documents for Oracle CCS implementations.
· Design and develop technical solutions within Oracle CCS, including customizations, integrations, and extensions.
· Create technical design documents, including data mappings, interface specifications, and system architecture diagrams.
· Develop and maintain code following established coding standards and best practices.
· Perform unit and integration testing to ensure the quality of developed solutions.
· Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Oracle CCS.
· Collaborate with other technical teams (e.g., infrastructure, middleware) to ensure seamless integration with other utility systems (e.g., MDM, OMS, GIS, ERP).
· Participate in technical design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
· Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle CCS technologies, patches, and best practices.
· Contribute to the development of technical standards and best practices for CCS implementations.
· Provide technical support to end-users as needed.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience in developing and implementing Oracle CCS (or similar CIS/Billing systems) specifically within the utilities industry
· Oracle Utilities CCS certifications are a plus.
· Understanding of the utilities industry and its unique challenges and opportunities related to customer care and billing.
· Deep understanding of Oracle Utilities CCS architecture, functionality, and integration capabilities.
· Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Utilities CCS development tools and technologies (e.g., PL/SQL, Java, APIs, web services, Oracle Application Framework (OAF) if applicable, CCB APIs).
· Proven ability to design and develop complex integrations between Oracle Utilities CCS and other systems commonly used in utilities (e.g., MDM, OMS, GIS, payment gateways).
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and functional teams.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Experience with Agile development methodologies is highly desirable.
