Job Title: Functional Lead Oracle CX for Utilities

Job Summary:

About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Functional Lead for Oracle CX to join our team, specifically focused on the utilities sector. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for leading the functional design, implementation, and support of Oracle CX solutions tailored to the unique needs of our utility clients. You will manage a team of functional designers and consultants, working closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into functional designs, and ensure the successful delivery of projects. This role requires a strong understanding of Oracle CX Cloud applications, the utilities industry, and proven leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of functional designers and consultants, providing guidance and support in their project work.
• Oversee the entire functional implementation lifecycle for Oracle CX projects within utility clients, from requirements gathering to post-implementation support.
• Collaborate with utility business stakeholders (customer service, billing, operations, marketing) to understand their needs and translate them into detailed functional requirements for Oracle CX.
• Design and champion the overall solution architecture for Oracle CX implementations, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and client business goals.
• Develop and maintain functional design documents, including process flows, use cases, data mappings, and integration specifications.
• Oversee the configuration and customization of Oracle CX applications (e.g., Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud) to meet specific utility requirements.
• Manage project scope, timelines, and budgets for functional deliverables.
• Ensure the quality of implemented solutions through rigorous testing and validation.
• Provide thought leadership on Oracle CX best practices within the utilities industry, staying up-to-date with the latest features and trends.
• Contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with utility clients, acting as a trusted advisor on Oracle CX solutions.
• Collaborate with technical teams (developers, architects) to ensure seamless integration with other utility systems (e.g., CIS, MDM).
• Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for Oracle CX implementations within the utilities sector.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in implementing and ¹ supporting Oracle CX Cloud applications (Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud). (Adjust years based on your needs)  
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing a team of functional consultants.
• Deep understanding of Oracle CX Cloud architecture, functionality, and best practices, specifically within the utilities industry.
• Proven ability to gather and analyze business requirements related to utility operations (e.g., customer service, billing, meter management).
• Experience in designing and configuring Oracle CX for specific utility use cases (e.g., outage management, billing inquiries, energy efficiency programs).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and business audiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with integration tools and technologies (e.g., Oracle Integration Cloud, REST APIs) is a plus.
• Oracle CX certifications are a plus.
• Deep understanding of the utilities industry and its unique challenges and opportunities.
