Job Title: IT Asset Specialist
Job Summary:
The IT Asset Specialist is responsible for managing, tracking, and maintaining an organization's IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses. They work closely with various departments to ensure that all assets are properly accounted for and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of all IT assets, including purchase dates, warranty information, and user assignments
- Track and monitor the lifecycle of IT assets from procurement to disposal
- Conduct regular audits to verify the location and condition of IT assets
- Coordinate with vendors to procure new assets and renew software licenses
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting for IT asset expenses
- Develop and maintain asset management policies and procedures
- Provide support to end-users regarding asset management issues
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in asset management
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
- Previous experience in IT asset management or a similar role
- Knowledge of asset management tools and software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
