Job Description

Job Title: Major Incident Manager

Job Summary:

As a Major Incident Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all major incidents that occur within an organization. You will work closely with various teams to ensure incidents are resolved quickly and efficiently, minimizing impact on business operations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Lead and coordinate the response to major incidents, following established incident management processes

- Act as the primary point of contact for all major incidents and communicate updates to key stakeholders

- Identify the root cause of major incidents and implement preventative measures to avoid recurrence

- Conduct post-incident reviews to identify areas for improvement in incident response processes

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain incident response plans

- Provide regular reporting on major incident trends and performance metrics to management

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

- 3+ years of experience in incident management or a related field

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices

- Certification in ITIL or related certifications is a plus
