Job Description

Job Title: Desktop Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support to our users in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a passion for technology.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Provide on-site and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.

2. Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software applications.

3. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.

4. Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and passwords.

5. Coordinate with IT team members to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.

6. Document support issues and resolutions for future reference.

7. Assist with IT projects as needed.

8. Train end-users on IT systems and applications.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

2. 2+ years of experience in desktop support or a similar technical support role.

3. Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and hardware troubleshooting.

4. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

5. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.

6. A+ certification or other relevant certifications a plus.
