Job Title: Database Consultant (Microsoft SQL & PostgreSQL)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Consultant specializing in Microsoft SQL and PostgreSQL to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database solutions for our clients, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design and implement database solutions using Microsoft SQL and PostgreSQL based on client requirements
- Perform database administration tasks, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security management
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather requirements and provide technical guidance
- Develop and maintain documentation of database architecture, configurations, and procedures
- Stay current on database technology trends and best practices to recommend improvements to existing systems
- Provide training and support to clients and team members on database-related topics
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL and PostgreSQL databases
- Strong understanding of database design, normalization, and optimization techniques
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures
- Experience with database migration, replication, and clustering
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Certification in Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
