Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Discovery Consultant to design, implement, and optimize ServiceNow Discovery solutions for accurate infrastructure visibility and CMDB integrity. The role involves working closely with infrastructure, security, and ServiceNow platform teams to ensure reliable asset discovery, dependency mapping, and data governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and configure ServiceNow Discovery for on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments
• Design and deploy MID Servers, including sizing, placement, and high availability
• Configure Discovery schedules, credentials, patterns, and probes for servers, network devices, and applications
• Ensure CMDB accuracy, normalization, and reconciliation aligned with CSDM standards
• Troubleshoot discovery issues related to credentials, firewall rules, and network connectivity
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to onboard new environments
• Integrate Discovery with Service Mapping, ITOM Health, and Event Management
• Perform data validation, audits, and continuous improvement of discovery coverage
• Prepare technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer sessions

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with ServiceNow Discovery and ITOM
• Hands-on expertise with MID Server architecture and deployment
• Solid understanding of CMDB, CSDM, and CI lifecycle management
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux, Unix, and Network devices
• Experience with cloud discovery (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API)
• Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls)
