Role: Business Systems Analyst - Risk Regulatory Reporting

Key responsibilities
· Experience as a Business Systems Analyst in Risk Regulatory Reporting will complete data analysis and business acumen to ensure a company is accurately and timely reporting financial information to regulatory bodies, while also identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with compliance and reporting processes, they bridge the gap between business needs and technical requirements to optimize regulatory reporting systems and procedures.
· Key responsibilities of a business analyst in risk and regulatory reporting Gathering and analyzing data Collecting data from various sources within the organization, including trading systems, risk management platforms, and accounting systems, to generate accurate regulatory reports
· Regulatory compliance Staying updated on evolving regulatory requirements and ensuring the companys reporting practices adhere to relevant regulations like Basel III, Dodd-Frank, and local regulations.
· Requirement gathering Identifying and documenting business requirements for regulatory reporting systems, including data quality standards, reporting formats, and deadlines.
· Process improvement Analyzing existing reporting processes to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements, such as automating manual tasks or streamlining data flows.
· Risk assessment Evaluating potential risks associated with regulatory reporting, including data accuracy, timeliness, and compliance issues.
· Stakeholder management Collaborating with different teams within the organization, including finance, risk management, compliance, IT, and business lines, to ensure smooth reporting processes.
· Report generation and validation Producing regulatory reports, performing data quality checks, and reconciling discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness.
· System implementation Working with IT teams to implement new reporting systems or upgrades to existing systems, including testing and user acceptance.
