Role: AAA Implementation Engineer
Location: Remote
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business, finance, or related field; technical training required. Postgraduate degree is a plus.
• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in a technical role supporting network projects/programs.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize workload, react to issues, and meet shifting deadlines.
• Experience with ClearPass, Stealthwatch, ICE, AAA, Splunk, load balancing, captive portals, NA3RC, automation, network configuration, certificates, cluster build, upgrade, and configuration.
• Working knowledge of Excel and MS Project.
• Financial services experience (insurance, banking, investment banking) is a plus.
• Ability to work weekends as needed for migration work.
• Subject matter expertise in enterprise identity authentication technologies including AAA (RADIUS/TACACS), 802.1X (wired/wireless), RSA, and token-based systems.
• Experience with Aruba ClearPass Policy Server or Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
• Experience with Network Access Control (NAC) 802.1X for wired and wireless networks.
• Experience with SSL certificate authorities and certificate management.
• Strong technical knowledge in security engineering, system and network security, authentication and authorization protocols, cryptography, application security, and load balancing.
• Proficiency with Splunk and automation tools; strong Excel skills.
• Expert understanding of network protocols: TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, TLS, 802.1X.
• Experience with testing, change validation, root cause analysis, risk mitigation, security assessments, and threat analysis.
• Experience with remote access (VPN posture) and Secure Cloud Analytics (Stealthwatch) preferred.
• Familiarity with project management, ITSM, change management, and CAB processes.
• Ability to manage risk, make decisions, and align actions with business strategy.
• Leadership qualities: self-starter, accountable, influential, and organized.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence upward and laterally.
• Experience working in regulated or large global enterprises is a plus.
• Attend project meetings and create change documents; schedule changes with assigned engineers.
• Represent change records (CRQs) on calls and regional pre-CAB meetings; socialize changes with peer teams.
• Coordinate with teams for change knowledge transfer and follow up with testers for validation.
• Ensure peer reviews and approvals for CRQs; review test plans and results; assist in root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams on design requirements, standards, and risk assessments.
• Create NCDs for implementation during approved change windows; rehearse changes in lab environments.
• Work weekends for change implementation; perform low-risk changes during weekdays.
• Validate changes through user acceptance testing, log verification, and test plan execution.
• Build and send change communication templates; update schedules as changes are completed.
• Coordinate with vendors for device swaps or onsite support; create work orders for firewall and IP updates.
