Google Cloud DevOps / SRE Engineer
Location: Alpharetta, GA (Onsite)
Duration: 6 months
● Core Services: Compute Engine, GKE, VPC, Cloud IAM, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL.
● Networking: VPC peering, Shared VPCs, firewall rules, Load Balancing, DNS, VPN tunnels.
● Security: IAM debugging, service account management, Workload Identity Federation, least privilege principles.
● Terraform: Writing modules, state management (remote backends), handling dependencies, "DRY" principles.
● Pipelines: Jenkins (Declarative/Scripted) and GitHub Actions (YAML workflows).
● Deployment: Canary releases, Blue/Green deployment, artifact management (Docker/Helm).
● Linux: Deep knowledge of RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS, kernel tuning, systemd, storage/LVM. {must have skill}
● Debugging: Troubleshooting CPU/Memory/IO bottlenecks, analyzing system logs, fixing boot issues.
● Languages: Python, Go (Golang), or Java. {must have skill}
Preferred Qualifications:
● Certifications: Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer / Architect, CKA (Kubernetes Administrator).
● Systems: Experience with large-scale distributed systems and microservices.
● Process: Familiarity with ITIL, Change Advisory Board (CAB) workflows, and incident management.
