Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automation Cookie Tester with a strong background in automated testing, quality assurance, and test framework development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test suites with a special focus on browser cookies, session management, personalization logic, and end-to-end QA workflows across web applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts focused on cookie behavior, session handling, and user tracking workflows.
Validate cookie attributes including expiration, secure/HTTP-only flags, domain/path settings, and third-party cookie integrations.
Work closely with developers and product teams to understand cookie-related business logic and implement accurate test coverage.
Perform end-to-end, regression, smoke, and integration testing using automation frameworks.
Debug failed tests, analyze logs, identify root causes, and provide detailed defect reports.
Ensure compliance with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) related to cookie usage and tracking.
Optimize existing frameworks to improve test stability, execution speed, and maintainability.
Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and daily standups.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of experience in automation testing with strong expertise in Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of browser cookies, session storage, local storage, and web security concepts.
Hands-on experience with Java/Python/JavaScript for test automation scripting.
Experience testing web applications, APIs, and backend services.
Working experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).
Solid foundation in QA methodologies, STLC, and defect life cycle management.
Knowledge of privacy-compliant cookie handling and consent frameworks.
Excellent communication, debugging, and documentation skills.
