Role- GKE Engineer (Google Kubernetes Engine)

Location: Remote (USA)
Type: Contract
Duration: 6–12 Months

Job Summary

We are looking for a Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) Engineer to design, deploy, and manage scalable containerized applications on Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters in GKE.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for microservices deployment.
• Manage Docker, Helm, Terraform, and IaC workflows.
• Monitor performance, optimize clusters, and implement autoscaling.
• Ensure security using IAM, service accounts, network policies, and workload identity.
• Troubleshoot cluster, service mesh, and networking issues.

Required Skills

• 5–8+ years of DevOps/Cloud Engineering experience.
• 2–4+ years of Kubernetes (GKE preferred) experience.
• Strong experience with Docker, CI/CD, Terraform, Helm.
• Familiarity with Istio/Anthos (preferred but not required).
• Strong scripting experience (Python, Bash, Go).

Preferred

• Google Cloud Associate or Professional DevOps Engineer Certification
• Experience with cloud-native observability tools
• Knowledge of microservices and API gateways
