Job Title: Pega BSA (Business Systems Analyst)

Location: Onsite – Toronto, Ontario
Duration: 6–12 Months (Contract)
Work Type: 100% Onsite (No Remote / No Hybrid)


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pega Business Systems Analyst (9-14 years) to support a major enterprise Pega implementation. The ideal candidate will have strong experience translating business requirements into Pega functional specifications, supporting solution design, validating end-to-end workflows, and working closely with business, product, QA, and development teams to ensure successful delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Develop BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, data mapping, and process flows.
  • Partner with Pega Solution Architects and Development teams to translate requirements into functional solutions.
  • Participate in end-to-end solution design workshops, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and demos.
  • Analyze existing workflows, rules, case management, and user interfaces to identify gaps and enhancement opportunities.
  • Support the creation and execution of UAT test plans and test cases; validate outcomes.
  • Track and manage requirements traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Coordinate defect triage with automation QE and development teams, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Support documentation of business process changes and training materials for end-users.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication and ensure alignment across stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 9-14 years of total IT experience, with 5+ years in a BSA role working on Pega projects.
  • Strong experience gathering requirements and writing detailed user stories specific to Pega implementations.
  • Hands-on expertise with:
    • Pega Case Types
    • Workflows & UI
    • Data models, decision rules, correspondence, SLAs
    • Rule resolution and Pega terminology
  • Ability to interpret Pega technical designs and explain them in business language.
  • Strong understanding of APIs (REST/SOAP), integration patterns, and downstream data impacts.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum environments with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar ALM tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pega BA / CSA / CSSA certification preferred (not mandatory).
  • Background in banking, financial services, or insurance domains strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting UAT, production rollout validation, and change management initiatives.
