Role: GKE Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Contract

Core Mandate
Drive the end-to-end migration from VMware Tanzu / PCF to Google Kubernetes Engine while establishing a scalable, secure, and automation-driven container platform on GCP.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the migration strategy and execution for PCF workloads moving to GKE.
• Architect GKE clusters aligned with scale, performance, and compliance requirements.
• Define modernization and containerization blueprints for legacy PCF applications.
• Build GitOps-aligned CI/CD pipelines leveraging cloud-native tooling.
• Optimize cluster performance through autoscaling, resource controls, and node-pool architecture.
• Enforce platform security via Anthos, IAM, network policies, and service mesh standards.
• Automate provisioning and lifecycle management using Terraform (preferred).
• Implement end-to-end observability using Stackdriver, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Partner with application teams to support refactoring and phased workload migration.
• Deliver enablement sessions, KT workshops, and best-practice playbooks for stakeholders.
