Cloud Platform Services supports the GOAs fully integrated Cloud products Cloud landing zones and M365 services that enable APS staff to work more collaboratively and efficiently as they deliver valuable programs and services to Albertans. The Cloud Platform Services area is also responsible for the continuous service improvement and continuous service development of those services and products.
Reporting to the Team Lead, GoA Messaging Services, this role will support various IT services: Exchange Online, MS Teams support, M365 Defender, M365 Purview, and others.
The Government of Alberta is seeking one (1) IT Technical Resource to support Cloud Platform Services, specifically within GoA Messaging Services. The role focuses on operational support, configuration, optimization, and problem resolution across key Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, MS Teams, M365 Defender, and MS Purview.
The resource will work under the Team Lead, Messaging Services, and will be responsible for incident, change, and problem ticket fulfillment, along with continuous service improvement and documentation activities.

Ability to work evenings and/or weekends and/or during block time/change windows outside of normal Government of Alberta business hours (8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Alberta time, Monday to Friday). | Yes |
Work Experience | |
Experience designing, planning, implementing and supporting On-Premesis Exchange 2016/2019, Exchange SE environment and Exchange Online in large organization of comparable size and complexity to the Government of Alberta. | 8 years |
Experience supporting email security related services like anti-spam, anti-phishing, access management. | 8 years |
Experience supporting Skype for Business or Microsoft Teams in an enterprise environment. | 8 years |
Experience with Microsoft architecture, installation and administration in a multi-server environment. | 8 years |
