Job Description

Role: Sr. API Tester (Banking Domain - Must)

Location: Toronto Downtown, ON (Hybrid  - 3 Days/week Onsite)

Long Term Contract

Responsibilities

• Test Planning: Design and execute test plans for APIs to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality.
• Functional Testing: Validate the functionality of API endpoints and ensure they work as expected.
• Performance and Reliability: Test APIs for performance and reliability to ensure they can handle expected loads.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers to understand API requirements and specifications.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed, accurate, and concise test documentation.
• Bug Tracking: Identify, document, and track bugs using bug tracking tools.
• Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure new changes haven't negatively impacted existing functionality.
• Automation: Automate API testing using tools and frameworks like Postman, Rest Assured, or Selenium.
• CI/CD: Implement and maintain automated tests within a CI/CD pipeline.

Skills and Qualifications

• Must have at least 9-12 Years of experience into Testing / QA.
• Must have at least 4+ years of experience in Banking domain.
• API Testing Tools: Experience with tools like Postman, Insomnia, or similar API clients.
• Automation Frameworks: Proficiency with automation frameworks, such as Rest Assured.
• Programming Languages: Knowledge of a programming language like Java for automation is often required.
• Version Control: Familiarity with tools like Git.
• API Knowledge: Understanding of API architectures (e.g., REST) and web application fundamentals.
• Test Methodologies: Ability to create test cases, test plans, and understand different development lifecycles (SDLC, ADLC).
